Une Belle Visite à Boulogne

On Thursday 12th October, a big group of year 8 students set off very early on a day trip to France.
Our journey to Boulogne – sur – mer went very smoothly, and we soon arrived at our first visit to the amazing Naussica aquarium. We marvelled at the huge variety of sea life on show, with our favourites being the giant rays, turtles, and sharks.
Our next stop was the old-walled town of Boulogne with its cobbled streets and beautiful square.
French berets were a popular souvenir for many students as they tried out their French speaking skills in the gift shop.
Our last activity was a trip to a traditional bakery where baker Bruno showed us how he makes his delicious bread and then we all tucked into his pains au chocolat. We had a fantastic day which really brought our classroom lessons to life, and it was a real pleasure to spend the day with such enthusiastic and well-behaved students.
