  • Results Day

    Published 18/07/19

We are delighted to celebrate the high standards achieved in the GCSE results this year.

We are particularly pleased to celebrate the outstanding success of Beth Longworth who achieved a total of ten grade 9s and Oliver Broad who gained nine grade 9s across a range of subjects. In addition, Benjamin Ridout gained eight grade 9s, Rebekah Rhodes and Sophie Woodhead gained five, George Ramswell gained three with Sam Cole and Eleanor Mabbett gaining one. These are truly fantastic results placing them amongst the highest performing students across the country.

Overall 60% of the year group achieved 4+ in both English and Maths. These results reflect the tremendous effort and determination to succeed by all our students. They worked closely with our staff who, as always, go ‘the extra mile’ to support and encourage every student to accomplish their personal best. We would also like to thank our parents and carers for their support contributing towards this success.

We are very proud of all our students and we wish them every success in the future. Good luck to you all!

The Golden Age of Applemore College

September 2019 will celebrate the opening of Applemore College (School) 50 years ago in 1969.

Past students, colleagues and friends will be warmly invited to attend a series of events throughout the academic year to celebrate this important milestone in the life of the College.

During the Summer term, the College is endeavouring to collect suitable memorabilia which will reflect the development and life of Applemore from its conception to the present day College.  This will form part of an exhibition.  If anyone can help by donating or lending photographs or any other items, please contact Mrs Becci Ashley at the College via telephone or email as soon as possible.

The first date for your diary is Thursday 10 October 2019 between 4.30pm and 7.30pm when there will be an opportunity to tour the College and catch up with old friends.
